I couldn't agree more Steve, it was a fun night of helping people get to know their scopes under a wonderful night. I met some great new people. Thank you Suresh for putting this together along with all the volunteers who came out.

Very cool. Would have to be a very special material to last in venus atmosphere. Maybe Elon can build some satellites to put over there? :)

Thank you everyone that came out to CGO, whether there to hang out or to run through some MM objects. All appreciated!
Thank you Kris for the print outs and doing our Go/No Go call.

I would love to hear your story and maybe what object was your favorite of the night.

Re: Upcoming CGO Messier Marathon on 3/27-28

Email or even our uberconferencing software can work especially for the those that don't have facebook. Not sure if uberconference works on cell phones... Where I live would not even work for the messier, so i would be disqualified if I couldn't go to another location. If we have a big enough area w...

Lol. I think i might outgrow it by next summer maybe but need to keep an open mind. I finally stepped outside and felt the wind. I agree it might not be the best choice for tonight.

HI Tom, Losing someone we hold dear is always difficult, I am here for you. Whatever you need, give me a shout! 6127190737 A Metcalf committee sounds wonderful, COUNT ME IN. Mary, I am sorry you won't be able to make it, Family comes first. Forums are a "login" every time deal that I know of, what better way to keep us all connected. I will most certainly have my Dob out in October, thanks for the reminder to restock the hand warmers into my bag. See you then.

Re: Totality Tales - Both Strange and Bizarre

Here's a story by David Pogue. I've read this guy on CNET before. Typically, he does the "so, you're new to technology" stories, walking you through the basics of that new phone or the latest social media app. Here, he's writing about the eclipse. I had expected less, but he really nailed...

It was a pleasure to meet you and your wife on Saturday. I am glad you were able to make it out on such a beautiful evening. Re: June B-SIG - DATE CHANGE -- 8pm Saturday June 3rd

A note: Indian Trail is under some construction. It is hard packed dirt for most of it, with scattered gravel patches. Wasn't too bad last night, plus the grass has been cut but not raked up, looked like it was long in some areas.
