Astrophotography @ November events?

I hope this is the correct place to post this question.

During the Star Party events beginning Nov 8th, does anyone know if there will be any education or demonstrations on astrophotography? A friend and I would like to attend an event where we can see some astrophotograpy and ask some questions.

Meteorite

Last night the wife and I were sitting in the hot tub. I saw a meteorite come down on the next street over. It was still burning white when it disappeared below the roof line of the neighbors house. I'm sure it made it to the ground. I mentally marked where I saw it go down. Today I went and looked ...

Request to Extend Signature Limitation

Please increase the limit on the length of signatures from 255 to something more reasonable like 500. The little bit of extra space used in the database will be minimal and it allows a bit more personal expression with the posts.

I was sitting in the hot tub Jeez, I think the best I could come up with is a hammock (and that doesn't work so well in the winter). Chris, It was actually the hot tub that got me interested in Astronomy. I'd sit out in the tub at night and look at the sky. I realized I knew very little about the c...

Huggy,

No, I didn't hear anything. But then the hot tub motor was running and the jets were running at the time!

I was sitting in the hot tub with my daughter when a meteor came streaking near horizontal from the East towards my house. It came right for us and burned out at what looked like about a 100 - 200 feet over the top of my tree in the back yard. That was very cool. I've never seen one so close before....

There are definitely some interesting construction logs for observatories over there. I gotta ask though... an Explora Dome, a Paramount, and no scope yet? And its your first scope. Go big or go home huh? What scope are you planning on putting in there? Sounds like you are going to have a nice setu...

Hi Ron, When I bought my Explora-Dome I drove to the factory in Litchfield to pick it up. Boy, that's a beautiful area! Are the skies pretty dark in the area? Anyone looking for an inexpensive observatory should check them out. I just checked their site and the domes are $650. I paid less when I bou...
