Re: Kennedy Space Center visit- allow 1 or 2 days?

Eric: They've changed it up quite a bit since the shuttle program ended, so I'm not sure what else has changed, but you could easily spend a whole day. The visitor center has some amazing stuff, including the Rocket Park and the space shuttle Atlantis . The Astronaut Hall of Fame used to be a separa...

For those of you who attended Dave Falkner's EXCELLENT BSIG presentation on The Moon today, here is the video I mentioned: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNpsy6lBPBw Using data from NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), they assemble a 3D model of the Moon and provide us an entirely different ...

Carter: I've had problems like this and often times it was the cable. Where are you located? If you want to swing by with your scope you could plug in one of mine and see if that takes care of it. Let me know!

This is a shot of the Earth from the ispace HAKUTO-R Mission 1.

If you look closely, you can see the shadow of the Moon on the Earth. This was taken during the eclipse!

FANTASTIC, Dick! What a great report!! Speaking of Eta Car, I went to a presentation at the UofM on Monday. Director of the Vatican Observatory, Br. Guy Consolmagno, S.J., was talking about the joys of star gazing. I asked him, "What was your best night ever at a telescope?" Here was his a...

The hosts are just padding off and on during the partial phase. They don't sound like they've done many eclipses. And then, when things start getting REALLY intere...
