Virgo Venture - OFF for tonight and probably tomorrow

Greetings all, I'm calling off the official Virgo Venture for tonight due to 70% cloud cover and very poor expected transparency. As there might be moments of clarity tonight, you are still free to travel down to CGO if so you so desire - there just won't be any "official" star party tonig...

It's not looking very good for either tomorrow night or Saturday night at either CGO or LLCC. I'll post the official by 4:00 pm tomorrow.

Greetings all,

The 4M for tonight is ON. The skies are looking pretty good, although we might have some degradation of transparency as the night goes on. NOAA is predicting 30% cloud cover and the CSC is predicting average seeing/trans. Either way, let's get out there and bag some Messiers!
