MAS Mini Messier Marathon this Fri/Sat

Post by jjones7777 »

Greetings all,

The 4-M (Mas Mini Messier Marathon) is scheduled for this Friday/Saturday at CGO. Prizes will be awarded for those who have the most Messier objects observed with NO G0-TO or DSC. You can find the list for the Marathon below.

You can also find lots of great help on the 4M page: http://www.mnastro.org/mini-messier-marathon/

Right now, Saturday is looking better than Friday, but it's WAY too soon to tell. I'll post the GO-NO here and on the phone message system.

WOULDN'T YOU KNOW...
Immediately after I posted, I noticed I didn't specify the DATES of THIS Friday and Saturday...

The dates for the 4M are Oct. 9th/10th ... which will be THIS Friday/Saturday in a couple of days...

The weather is looking decent for both Friday and Sat. I'll make the GO/NOGO call on this forum as well as the info phone number: 952-467-2426. Check both after 12 noon and before 4:00 pm.

As of now -Thursday night, Saturday's weather looks better than Friday's, although Saturday's winds look worse. I'll make the GO/No GO call by 4:00 pm tomorrow, both here and on the phone service.
