Hi all,
I just recently, very recently, got into astronomy, and specifically astrophotography. I am thinking about heading out to the Eagle Lake star party this Saturday, but have a couple questions.
1.) Do a lot of MAS members, and non-members, bring their own telescopes?
2.) Any of the astrophotographers and imagers bring their equipment to these events?
3.) Finally, when the event ends at 10p.m., does the park close or do some members stay longer to view?

Hello
Welcome to the MAS.
BSIG events: October BSIG — Saturday October 27th — 5:30pm — Metcalf Nature Center;
An Imaging Meetup see IMAGING SIG
CGO Star Party when you know there will be People and imagers there.
Welcome to the MAS.
Sometimes but not too often as we have great equipment at ELO. That said you can bring yours but if your are looking for "assistance" and some community time the following are better opportunities:1.) Do a lot of MAS members, and non-members, bring their own telescopes?

Rarely to a ELO Public Star Party2.) Any of the astrophotographers and imagers bring their equipment to these events?
If the weather is good and the public is still there the Star Parties usually go much later.3.) Finally, when the event ends at 10p.m., does the park close or do some members stay longer to view?

Clayton,
Thank you so much, I was thinking to head out to Eagle Lake, but now looks like Metcalf is better choice for me!

Re: Eagle Lake event questions
You will generally find that Cherry Grove has the highest amount of imaging activity, at least at scheduled star parties.
