Volunteers Needed for 8/09 BSIG

Post by Sureshks »

Hi peeps,

Our next BSIG observing session at Metcalf is scheduled for this Friday 8/09. This is normally the best attended BSIG event of the year, due in part to the proximity to the Perseid meteor shower's peak.

We could use a few more volunteers to help out. Just bring a scope and show people objects, and be prepared to help beginners with their gear and questions. The Moon, Jupiter and Saturn will be well placed during the evening. Summer Milky Way objects will be visible after dark.

We're asking people to arrive by about 8pm to set up in daylight.

Please respond if you can make it.

Thanks!

Suresh
