Magnification = Focal length of the objective / Focal length of the eyepice.



A few related useful formulae ---

Exit pupil = Diameter of objective / Magnification

Magnification when using a barlow lens
= ( Focal length of the objective x Barlow magnification factor ) / Focal length of the eye-piece

Actual Field of view = Apprant field of view of eyepiece / Magnification
