Hi everyone,
The first B-SIG virtual presentation of the Fall season will be this Saturday December 12th, starting at 1:00pm.
Bob Kerr will be presenting "The ABCs of Stars - Let?s star-gaze!"
Synopsis:
"Did you know you can see over 3,000 stars with your naked eyes? The smallest star is just a little bigger than Jupiter. There's a star larger than the orbit of Saturn...the oldest stars are almost as old as the universe?
Everywhere we look, the universe is busy either making new stars or making stuff from old stars (like planets and us).
So what's going on with all these stars? (Spoiler alert: a lot!)
Join us, and let's get some of this star-stuff figured out."

Note: We will be opening up this link about 5 minutes before the event starts.
We hope you can join us!

Hello everyone,
Thank you for attending yesterday's BSIG presentation by Bob Kerr entitled "The ABCs of Stars - Let's star-gaze!"
There were some technical glitches, preventing Bob from completing his talk. I'll reach out to him to see if we have a Part II of his presentation later this Winter.
In the meantime, Valts T. recorded and edited yesterday's presentation, which you can view it here: https://youtu.be/Poss4xB2K-Y
The next BSIG is scheduled for Jan. 23rd at 1:00pm. Landscape imager extraordinaire Mike Shaw will be presenting then. We'll communicate more as we get closer.
