March B-SIG Virtual Presentation -- Saturday March 27th -- 1:00pm -- "All About Deep Sky Objects"

Post by Sureshks »

Hello everyone,

The next virtual B-SIG presentation of will be on Saturday March 27th, starting at 1:00pm.

I will be presenting "All About Deep Sky Objects".

Synopsis:

Have you ever wondered why nebula are different colors? Why are galaxies different shapes? Do they live alone… or as part of a crowd? Why do stars explode, and can we see the aftermath? We will go over these and other interesting questions.

We will review the different types of deep sky objects, from gaseous nebula, to star clusters to faraway galaxies… and beyond.
We will also examine the life stages of stars, from their birth in massive gas clouds, to their excitable youth and stable middle age stages, and then finally to old age and death. But not every star dies the same way. And some stars even come back to life!

To join the virtual event, click this link: https://zoom.us/j/96882230960?pwd=STBYb ... Z6eER0dz09

Note: We will be opening up this link about 5 minutes before the event starts.

We hope you can join us!

Hi all,

Matt Dunham created an edited recording of last Saturday's talk "All About Deep Sky" objects. Thanks Matt!

Here is the link to it on our MAS YouTube Channel:

It looks like we had 46 attendees for this one.

I hope you enjoyed it...
