I tried to observe the nova in Ophiuchus last night from Maple Grove. I might have seen it but not too familiar with the stars in that area and there is a lack of bright stars nearby. The skies we still hazy. Saw the thin crescent moon last night low on the horizon in the haze which was my last needed observation for the Lunar Observing Program.

I plan on photographing the area of the nova with a DSLR next time I try to observe the nova to confirm.

It's an easy target in a finder scope. It makes a 'pizza slice' isosceles triangle with nu and tau. I saw it Tuesday night through light haze.

I observed it in the 8” TMB refractor at ELO tonight. It was around magnitude 7. I could not see it naked-eye.
