When I am creating a new post, the system brings me to a log in screen stating I have to be logged in to create a post. I logged back in, created the post, repeat....Today, when I was creating an ISP post for JJC, I had to recreate the post about 6 times before it finally posted to the forum.
**Changed over 6 times to "about 6 times". It took three tries to make the change in wording. I was being sent to the log in screen.

Are you sure you weren’t using “incognito mode” or something? I’ve had that happen to me.

Thank you. I don't use incognito mode. Let me check on the "something". I don't recall a security software update recently. Today, I clicked on the edit option for my post here in the Forum Help and the system took me to the log in screen. I logged in again, clicked on the edit option and it worked, allowed me to edit, four times in a row. I didn't actually edit the post.

You can tell if you’re logged in easily by looking in the upper right corner. Your login name would be there, next to “Notifications” and “Private messages”. But if there was an edit option for your post, then you were probably logged in. Hmm…. I have found that every time I go to the forums I have to do a refresh first because otherwise I’m just looking at a version from the last time I visited. That’s probably because I leave the forums open all the time in a tab.

Agreed, I see the login name etc in the upper right. What I have also noticed is, when I am forced to log in again, I get an error: The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again. I re-enter my login information and that may or may not take me back to the forum. I do not leave the forums open.

I am going to try the Remember Me option when I first log in, see if that helps.

Yes, I believe that is essential.

I didn't know that. I never used it before. If it solves the problem, awesome.

Re: System Logging me Off
Was the error message "The submitted form was invalid. Try submitting again" or something else? Session length is 60 minutes so if you are logged in and the form is submitted it should work for whatever session time you have left. There's a similar unknown issue mentioned in the phpBB forums that does not yet have a known root cause. There is a work around that maybe we can implement but I would like to get more reports before fiddling with default security settings.

Yes, that is the error message. I have attached a pdf of the screen shot. I don't think I have ever been in the forum for more than 30 minutes at a time.
