December B-SIG Virtual Presentation -- Saturday Dec. 17th -- 1:00pm -- "Let's Explore the Winter Hexagon"

Post by Sureshks »

Hi everyone,

The first virtual B-SIG presentation of the 2021-22 Winter season will be on Saturday December 17th, starting at 1:00pm.

Claire Weaverling, will be presenting ""The Winter Hexagon".

Synopsis:

"Let's explore the Winter Hexagon! Starting with the well-known Orion constellation, and working our way around, we'll check out the brightest stars and star hop to the best deep sky objects for beginners. So, grab a cup of hot cocoa and join us on Zoom for the December BSIG."

Over the past few years, Claire has become an MAS Observer Extraordinaire. She has completed several Astronomical League Observing Lists, and is presently working on the Binocular Messier program. For deep-sky work, she uses an 18" Obsession Dobsonian telescope that she purchased directly from the MAS a few years ago!

To join the virtual event, click this link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/81197125669?p ... 09#success

We will be open up this link about 10 minutes before the event starts.

We hope you can join us!

Didn't she receive that award for this month's Monthly Meeting?

She has worked on, or completed, so many of these programs I have trouble keeping up!

I have a feeling that I know who the next Master Observer from the MAS will be.
