I'm cleaning house and I'd like someone to take an old computer (Compaq Presario 2500) and a Phillips ToU cam. This web cam was the cool cam around the turn of the century. It only runs on Windows XP, and what do you know, the Compaq Presario 2500 is a Windows XP computer. It all works fine, but don't even think you can upgrade the laptop (it's already maxed out at 1 Gig RAM). So, they both need each other to work correctly.
The ToU cam has the 1 1/4" adapter and IR filter. If you want to take some interesting shots of small, bright objects (like the planets, craters on the Moon, etc.) this setup works great. This will not work on deep sky, at least it never did for me.
Free for pickup.
Thanks!

Sounds like a match made in heaven, and that's how it should stay. Wow, 1 Gig. I don't think that even a modern Linux image would be very happy with that!
