Bizarre looking supernova remnant
How often do you see an astro object that looks totally unlike anything else? Check out this object that is believed to be formed by an intense wind from a rare type of white dwarf created in a supernova 800 years ago. The image was created not by a space telescope, but by a mere 2.4 meter earth based scope, the Hiltner reflector at Kitt peak. (Any relation, Merle?) Details at https://skyandtelescope.org/astronomy-n ... fireworks/ s
30-inch homemade Newtonian with periscope
20-inch homemade equatorial Newtonian with periscope
14-inch homemade equatorial Newtonian
10-inch Newtonian that folds flat
6-inch Russian Maksutov-Newtonian on Vixen equatorial mount
Too many small scopes and binoculars to mention
