May 23 S&T - Plate Solving Finder article

Post by SEmert »

In the May issue of Sky & Telescope magazine you may have noticed the "Astronomer's Workbench" column article titled "Make a Plate-Solving Finder".

What you may not know is the amateur astronomer whose efforts being described is Dale Eason, a long time MAS member located here in the Twin Cities. Dale has previously shown off his precision mirror evaluating work using interferometry. Way to go, Dale!

In case any of you haven't seen it, here is a .pdf scan of the article.

Way to go Dale! I look forward to seeing this in use (whether by Dale or someone else) at a star party sometime soon.
