Surprise, surprise.

Since Old Man Winter refuses to let go his grasp of our much desired spring, Old Man Observing Chair has no choice but to call the entire weekend NO GO for the Messier Marathon.

Let's now look forward to May 12th - the Virgo Venture - for the start of the observing season at Cherry Grove. Perhaps by THAT time...

Sheesh.

I think I have forgotten how to setup my telescope.

Would this make the next star party the Virgo Marathon, or the Messier Venture?

It might be a good time to build a radio telescope.

The timing has been awful YTD. Most weekends have been too cloudy and/or cold.... but some weeknights have been good.

Monday night looks ideal. Perhaps those that can should head to ELO on Monday night...

I just schedule an IISP for Monday night, and I was planning on using Casby. The only thing we ask is the judicious use of laser pointers. Particularly on the objects we are imaging. There is room for all, though there may be a pile of snow out there to negotiate.
