Greetings photon starved astronomers,
Barring horrible field conditions and another snow storm, the Virgo Venture is scheduled for the weekend of May 11/12 at CGO with Friday, May 11 as the primary date. This is an opportunity to see a list of 25 galaxies found in and around the constellation Virgo. For more info, please see: http://www.mnastro.org/virgo-venture/ . I've also attached the list of galaxies below.
As this is an OFFICIAL MAS star party, there will be an OFFICIAL GO/NO GO called before 4:00 pm on Friday, May 11th. It will be posted on the front page of the website.
For now, at least, no snow storm is in the forecast. Feel free to post your intentions on attending.
Here's to getting some photons!

Virgo Venture weather update
Greetings all,
According to Clear Outside, Saturday is looking better than Friday for this weekend's Virgo Venture, although NOAA is predicting the Cloud Nebula for both nights. Windy Is agreeing with Clear Outside in predicting that Saturday is better.
I'm currently down at TSP so Nancy has graciously agreed to run the VV this year. Please thank her for me.
Stay tuned!!
