Hopping Rovers

Post by heinerv »

Try to find some pictures of the Japanese rovers on an asteroid. They hop instead of drive. The picture I saw was a WOW but I don't know how to find it again.

Hi Vic,

Here you go!

Japan's (JAXA) Hayabusa 2 hopping rovers pics and video: http://www.hayabusa2.jaxa.jp/en/topics/20180927e_MNRV/

There are 2 hopping rovers presently deployed on the asteroid Ryugu, and there are 2 additional rover/landers on board the mother ship for later deployment...

Hayabusa 2's English web page: http://www.hayabusa2.jaxa.jp/

Amazing stuff!!
