www.mnastro.org firewall blocking my work IP

Post by deckblad »

Would it be possible for our webmaster to add my work IP to the list of allowed IPs on the firewall? I'm not able to access the general website or event calendar.

8.42.162.22

Thank you!

Are you sure it isn’t your company blocking access to MnAstro.org?

Do a trace route to see where it is stopping. Open a command prompt and type "tracert www.mnastro.org" (without the quotes). If successful it should end up at hosting-10.iphouse.net [209.240.94.10]. The forums are hosted elsewhere and end up at 64.71.35.15 after three timeouts from routers at (or after) Level3 that don't respond to trace routes. At the command prompt, tracert forums.mnastro.org. If you don't get past the first couple hops and see responses from ISP routers, it is your company's firewall that is stopping you.
