NNSF Star Party 2020 update

NNSF is still a go, but it will be scaled down from normal. No lectures, no meals provided, and single room occupancy. Registration is open and is limited as space provides.

Hello Astronomers!
Greetings from Long Lake Conservation Center! As you know, this year the Star Fest is happening, but with alterations for COVID.
Here is the working list of alterations to accommodate your safety.
Primary Alterations:
One person per room.
No food service will be provided
Refrigerators and microwaves available (small, limited space).
Coolers recommended (ice available in McGregor @ Holiday or Palisade @ One Stop)
Restaurants in the area are open and most are doing takeout (call to order).

Camping is available, tent and RV.
Additional Alterations:
1. There will be no lectures or indoor group gatherings.
2. One person per room unless they are members of the same family.
3. There are 27 rooms total, so you should reserve your spot.
4. The Dining Hall will be closed. Participants are asked to use the restrooms in their lodging rooms or the designated bathrooms.
5. Camping will be allowed per the LLCC registration form.
6. The LLCC large scopes will be available for use, but not for group observing.
7. A full refund will be provided if the event is canceled.
8. Social distancing and face masks will be required.
9. Long Lake staff will be conducting question-based screening upon arrival. Please do not attend if you are sick or have had exposure to persons with positive confirmation of COVID-19.

Event Contingency Due to COVID
Due to the nature of COVID and Long Lake operations, Long Lake cannot guarantee any scheduled event will take place. We will do our best to notify all participants if the need for cancellation arises with as much warning as possible, however short notice cancellations may be necessary to ensure safety.
