That graphic does say the sizes are not to scale :)
I take it you know about the right-click notes on his cartoons? (tap and hold on phones/tablets). In the note he says Parker will get within 9-10 solar diameters.

True, however just comparing the ratio of the distances its amazing how close it'll get to the Sun. I'd forgotten to hover over this one. Solar diameter is about 865,000 miles, so closest approach of the Parker solar probe will be around 7.8 million miles. That compares to Mercury's rather elliptical orbit with a range of 29 to 43 million miles from the Sun.
