Reservations limited to 40 people.


Each person will need to read and sign the liability waiver. PLEASE bring a signed copy or we will have copies to sign at the observatory. Entry will not be permitted without a signed waiver.


This event is Cancelled if Cloudy. If cancelled, notification will be posted on the MAS home page at www.mnastro.org

Start time of 7:00 pm
EVERYONE to wear masks at all times

Dan M won’t be at the May 1 star party

Colin Gallo got called in to work but I will still be there ( Marcus Halvorson)

Tonight will be my first star party, and I’m wondering how cloudy it needs to be to be cancelled. Seems like pretty heavy cloud cover right now (in Chanhassen). When is that call usually made? I know it says to look on the main page for updates, I’m just curious if anyone has any insight about this. I’d like to make other plans if it seems likely to be cancelled, but don’t want to miss if it good viewing is still expected. Thanks!

The clouds are predicted to clear around 9:00. I plan to be here and see how it goes, but understand if anyone doesn't want to risk it.
