Latest Starlink Satellites Launched Wed 5/26/21 Visible Tonight?

Post by petemn2004 »

Another batch of Starlink Satellites (L28) were launched this afternoon on Wed 5/26/21.

Heavens-Above.com shows a possible visible pass for the Twin Cities tonight (Wed 5/26/21):
At this time (5 PM) only one satellite (Starlink L28 Placeholder) is listed:

Date
26 May

Starlink L28 Placeholder

Mag
2.1

Start
21:51:37 10° NW

Highest point
21:53:59 78° NNE

End
21:55:30 19° ESE

The satellites are very close together after deployment (about an hour after launch) and gradually separate to their stations overtime.

I stumbled on this website below that shows a visual global presentation of the Starlink satellites. It shows several trains of closely bunched satellites if you zoom out far enough to show the entire globe.
