February B-SIG Virtual Presentation -- Saturday Feb. 19th -- 1:00pm -- "Survey of Astrophotography"

Post by Sureshks »

Hi everyone,

The next virtual B-SIG presentation of the 2021-22 Winter season will be on Saturday February 19th, starting at 1:00pm.

Doug Neverman will be presenting "Survey of Astrophotography".

Synopsis:

"There are many different kinds of objects in the night sky from aurora to stars to planets to colorful nebulae. Photographing these objects has become popular. There are different approaches to astrophotography depending on the object. Doug will present a survey of astrophotography and will present images taken by MAS members, and review the equipment, settings, and software used to take and process images."

Doug has been imaging deep sky objects for six years and has helped beginning imagers through their many questions. He helps organize the MAS astrophotographers workshop each fall as well as online processing sessions. Doug is also currently the maintenance team lead for the imaging rig at the MAS Cherry Grove Observatory.
