March B-SIG Virtual Presentation -- Saturday Mar. 19th -- 1:00pm -- "Northern Lights — Nature's Incredible Light Show"

Post by Sureshks »

Hi everyone,

The final virtual B-SIG presentation of the 2022 Winter season will be on Saturday March 19th, starting at 1:00pm.

Bob King will be presenting "Northern Lights — Nature's Incredible Light Show".

Synopsis:

"What causes the northern lights? When is the best time to see them? Join me for a closer look at one of nature's most inspiring sights. I'll also provide tips on aurora photography, how to find a dark sky and links to helpful aurora apps."

Bob is an MAS member, and one of the finest amateur astronomers that I know. Though his passion is observing comets, Bob gets excited about pretty much anything in the sky... He writes articles for Sky & Telescope magazine, and also runs the AstroBob astronomy blog, where he covers all sorts of sky phenomenon.

To join the virtual event, click this link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84361643290?p ... 09#success

Note: We will be opening up this link about 10 minutes before the event starts.

We hope you can join us!
