Just watched a you tube video on a Sony product called Star Spere. It's a small satellite that you can rent time on to photograph the earth. Will be active later this year. It was just launched. If you interested, here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OOw31oQ9kOE.
When the pricing comes out, maybe the club would like to rent. Could it work at a public night at Eagle Lake?

Re: Sony Star sphere
It's worth looking in to. The pricing will, of course, be key.

Re: Sony Star sphere
He briefly mentioned a "fascinating space" option. Maybe this means that you can point the camera at the stars. With the small aperture, it probably wouldn't do any better than a telescope on Earth.
