He will also demonstrate how to edit your total solar eclipse images using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to help provide ideas for your totality projects. Mike will have on hand a variety of solar eclipse filters and other accessories for demonstration purposes. There will be ample time for in-depth topical discussions and to get all your total solar eclipse questions answered."

Learn how to prepare for, and safely experience, the total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024.

Presentation highlights will include:
• Eclipse fundamentals & resources
• Eclipse safety & resources

Mike is well known to many MAS members as being a phenomenal landscape astro-imager. His courses on the subject are very well-attended, and he also takes his students on trips around the US and internationally to use the photographic skills they learn in his classes. We are lucky to have him present for our group ahead of the "big eclipse" coming up this April 8th!! Come with your notepads, pens, and questions... and get prepped and psyched for the big eclipse!

Hi all,

Here is the link to the recording of Mike Shaw's presentation on Saturday afternoon re: photographing the Total Solar Eclipse, coming up on April 8th.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCyp7jytbUs

We had 57 attendees on the call, and it really was very comprehensive. People asked great questions and also provided great input as to how best to capture and experience this eclipse. If you weren't able to attend this call live, be sure to view this two-hour presentation on YouTube.

Thanks again Mike for doing this for our MAS Beginner's group. And thanks also to Valts for preparing this recording for us.

The next BSIG presentation is scheduled for Saturday February 24th at 1:00pm. Dave Falkner will be presenting Discovering the Moon: Missions to the Moon and What We Have Discovered.

We hope you can join us again then!
