I have a heavier one, 11 or 12 pounds I think. I can get an exact weight if you're interested.

For counterweights that small you can also consider ankle weights or small barbell weights. You can get used ones real cheap at Play It Again Sports.

I thought about this but I'm using the mount for photography so any movement at all by the weight would be bad

What hole diameter do you need?
5 for 5 on solar eclipse expeditions: Total 1991 off the coast of Mazatlan, Annular 1994 Jefferson City, Missouri, Total 1998 off of Aruba, Total 2017 Pawnee City, Nebraska, Total 2024 in Mazatlan.

Two heavily-modified 12" Zhumell dobs on dedicated EQ platforms and too many other scopes to list...

Hi there, this is PaddyD (Patrick), the person in Buffalo that you bought the Orion Sky View Pro Mount from. Do you still need a counter weight? If so, I have one for you.
