Good news for those of us who use Linux in its various flavors (Ubuntu 6.06 here). The wonderful, free program, "Cartes du Ciel," is now available for Linux in beta format. For those of you who're familiar with Cartes du Ciel, you know it is a great-looking, full-featured planetarium program whose price -- $0 -- cannot be beat. Actually, if Patrick Chevallier started charging for it, I would buy it.
It is now available for just about every OS out there, including WIndows, Mac, FreeBSD, and Linux. It's a very easy and quick download for Linux users familiar with the .deb packages.
