Is there a way to delete an advertisement that did its job? The system only allowed me to remove the last post on the topic. It would be nice to flush the sold ad out so that those still pending could move higher in the list.

Hi Dave,
The marketplace forums are setup to automatically purge old ads. I set it to delete ads that are older than 30 days that have not been viewed in 30 days or more.

I have not yet been able to find the reason why you cannot delete your own post however. In the mean time, if you have a post you want deleted, please let me know and I will do it manually until I find a better way.
