Hello,

I am wondering if there was an extra filter material left after this event? It sounds like there was a great turnout but I wanted to ask if I could purchase a few inches. If not, could you let me know where would be the best place to buy this?

Thanks,
Scott

I believe they had film left over but if not, a few years ago I bought a small 2.5" circle mounted in cardstock from dracoproductions.net.

I will probably try that. It would be a fun time to be able to observe the sun. Thanks!

There were some usable scraps left over from what I have heard - catch me at the next meeting and we can work something out. How big a piece do you need?

I would need a piece big enough for a 4 " refractor. If that was not available I could also get a piece for my (much) smaller camera lens.

Thanks much!

Darn! It looks like I will have to miss that meeting too because of a long-planned family reunion that weekend. I am planning on being at the MNAstro Meeting on 7/2 if that would work. Thanks. Scott
