Access to smilies

It appears that, similar to the issue we fixed with quotes, the other features like Smilies are not available in all forums. Is there any reason this can't be corrected as well? I just posted in the MAS Announcements and Discussions forum and could not use smilies. Also, might want to check ability to use "[img]" and "[url]".
I'm actually glad "[flash]" is turned off, assuming it prevents posting flash video.

seriously....I found two places where smiles can be activated in the forums. It looks to me like they are both turned on and you should see them based on your rights. If you still cannot use smiles then I am missing something....

They have not yet taken away my admin rights....

As I mentioned in my initial post, I can use them in some forums, but they are not available in others. We had the same problem with quotes and that got fixed. See the thread about that issue for more info.

Any chance your "Disable Smilies" option is checked?

Those are forum admin options. I don't have access to those except in the Personal Observatory SIG.

My personal options for the fancy stuff are all turned on except for flash.

When we fixed this problem for quoting, it had something to do with enabling BBCode for individual forums NOT users. I thought maybe there was a similar configuration option for smilies.

I made a few changes to enable more features like smiles for registered users in the common forums . If you notice something missing somewhere make mention and it will be addressed as time permits.

Thanks, Clayton. It looks like all the general forums allow smilies now. I didn't check the others.
