Open Link in new tab by default?

Hello,

I'm wondering if there's a setting in my profile on here to enable any links I click to open in a new tab by default?

I did some Googling on the subject and it appears that it's based on the version of PHPBB that's used so it must be server side?

Thanks!

I, too, would like this feature.

I hope to be upgrading the message board software in the next week or so. It will be a nice upgrade that will make this board mobile responsive and a few other nice features. I will easily be able to add an extension to the new board to open up all URL's in a new tab.

Along with the board software update, I have also installed and Extension that causes all external links in post to open in a new tab. It will open a new session on your phone browser as well.

Give it a try...

Sweet. Looks great on my phone, too.
Thanks Craig!

No problem!

BTW... In case individuals do not like having a new tab open when you click a link. You can go in to your own User Control Panel.... Click the Board Preferences Tab and at the bottom you will see you can turn off "Open External Links in New Window"
