2017 BSIG Calendar

Greetings all,

Please see the 2017 BSIG meetings calendar.

Of course, each event date is subject to change due to weather, etc. We're going to try something different this year. We will plan on hosting observation sessions on Saturday nights, with the prior Friday as backup. Last year, it was the other way around.

I will send a confirmation note by 5pm the prior Thursday as to which day (Friday or Saturday) looks better... once I see the weather forecast. Last year, we had a few instances of people getting lost in the dark, and with volunteers having enough time to set up. We hope to make things easier by moving the primary BSIG observing nights to Saturday.

As always, feel free to bring friends, and also your own telescope or binoculars. Our volunteers will happily assist you in learning how to set them up and use them.

Also, plan on bringing layers of clothing, a blanket or camping chair, and perhaps a snack and warm beverage, to get you through the cool evenings.
